And growing

A space of opportunities

All linen is included: sheets, towels, tea towels. In the dining room, two tables measure 200 x 90 cm and one table measures 300 x 75 cm. To use the large barbecue, don’t forget to bring your own charcoal.

Le Moulin du Merle is an old watermill dating from 1697, reinvented as an atypical villa around 1850: luxurious rooms with large windows, high ceilings, waxed parquet floors and a spacious private garden…

Your guests will be able to balance moments of introspection and sharing activities, around a log fire or the ping-pong table, with a drink or in the stream. Don’t be modest and invite the whole family – the house can accommodate up to fifteen people!

Please note that the house is not currently suitable for people with reduced mobility, as it can only be entered via a wide staircase.

Service and proximity

Cats and dogs are welcome too, as long as they stay away from our chickens and are declared at the time of booking. A supplement of 10 euros is charged per animal per night.

Such a large and unusual house demands attention. That’s why Gilberthe, the owner, always stays close by, tending to all the daily needs, including the animals, the vegetable garden and the wood-burning boiler.

We’ve been able to help a number of groups with the organisation or the search for certain products. We won’t be crossing paths on the estate, as our areas are separate, so don’t hesitate to give us a call if you need anything!

Our house was the location for the latest feature film by Will Koopmans, known for the Dutch films ‘Gooische vrouwen’ and ‘Terug naar de Kust’ and the hit series ‘Oogappels’! The film Neem Me Mee opened in cinemas across the Netherlands on Monday 21 December.

Synopsis: Six people aged over 70, all strangers to each other, go on holiday together to the south of France. Even before their van crosses the national border, disagreements arise between them and the young tour guide Thijs, who has seriously underestimated the organisation.

With Jeroen Krabbé, Renée Soutendijk, Gene Bervoets, Minne Koole, Kees Hulst and Olga Zuiderhoek. With the title song by André van Duin.
